This fantastical installation is a surreal exploration of diametric emotions and their effects on our ability to communicate in meaningful and productive ways when strong emotions are at play.

Lawrence has been creating fantastical narrative works for over 30 years. Her motifs include insects, plant life, the human figure, and architectural components. Based on cultural assumptions, generational idioms, myths and fairytales, her work reflects our societal attitudes toward role models, gender identity, gender roles, politics, and attraction repulsion behavior. Lawrence empowers, shifts our perspectives, and support the survival of the individual in relation to its physical, emotional and political environment.
